The SN-4 Optical Snoot is used in underwater photography to control the coverage of light from a strobe or video light and narrow it to create a spotlight. This is most useful for macro photography in lighting a small subject and keeping the background completely black. Narrowing the beam of light from a Video Light will give you the freedom to utilise small apertures to obtain the most detail from small subjects!
